We critically listened to new music and demo submissions. We heard and suggested to each other some of the biggest hits of the twenty-teens, we dug up throwbacks, and we fired up CD’s and thumb drives straight from the Sound Kitchen mail box. The passion we brought to our every day work flowed even into our spare time. We had heated debates over sounds, lyrics, song lengths, genres, etc…

Coming out of “Covid times” Dave presented an idea to me to take those conversations, debates, and critiques on-air and start a podcast. So we did just that!

On the Music On-Deck podcast Dave Dinsmore and I do what we’ve been doing for years. We ask artists, bands, producers, and songwriters to send us a track and we give our feedback. We score every song on a 0-10 scale and give constructive criticism. We also drop “gems” from our over 40 years of music industry experience in personal segments. At the end of each episode we both suggest a song for our listeners to check out! Sometimes new, sometimes different, sometimes throwback.
